FAQ’s:
What are the steps you take to send coffee?
A customer orders a procedure from our MET/CAL Procedure List.
We deliver a fully tested and running procedure using the customer’s standards/specifications.
Customer is then invoiced, at which time we contact the end-user if they would like to include their company’s name and contact info on a card we send with the coffee to the troops.
We then send the card and coffee Flat-Rate Priority Mail with a Customs Declaration form to the recipient’s APO address.
If I order your software, what guarantee would I have that you will ship the coffee and it would be distributed?
We will include a customer-addressed/stamped thank you note the recipient can send the customer, but there’s no guarantee that the note will be sent. Ultimately, the less a recipient has to do to receive a gift, the better. And, we hope our customers trust us enough to do what we say.
How many shipments of coffee do you plan to send and how frequently?
That all depends on you! We hope this ad campaign will get more customers looking at procedures already on our MET/CAL Procedure List.
Why VIA?
We took the VIA challenge and for instant coffee it was very impressive. For soldiers, regular coffee is sometimes logistically impossible. Instant coffee is easier and VIA is comparable to a fresh gourmet brew.
What gave you the idea?
After watching the local news and seeing that Starbucks was sending donated coffee to soldiers for Thanksgiving and Christmas, we wanted to do something similar, only year round.
Why not just send it to the unit?
Just like any care package, we want to make sure it’s delivered to the intended party. Mail is more likely to find the individual, because many units are often deployed in different geographical regions or attached to other units.
